Injury to a person
during show hours – The following procedures will be followed:
- Do not move the
patient.
- Contact the EMT hired
by the competition. The Show EMT provides the quickest response to a medical
emergency occurring on the show grounds during show hours. The EMT is Terry
Aikman. He is stationed in the show office and can be contacted by
walkie-talkie or by Show Office phone (210 698-1140). Show personnel carrying
a walkie-talkie that can contact the EMT include the following:

Lavallee

– Susan Howard
- Secretary – Jan
Colley
EVERY GATEKEEPER:
If the accident occurs in a
competition or designated warm-up area, it is the Gatekeeper’s responsibility to
immediately contact the EMT and halt all activity in the immediate area.
- The EMT will contact
the Show Manager and the Technical Delegate about the emergency.
- The EMT will evaluate
the patient and determine the patient’s medical status. If warranted, a 911
call will be made from the show office using a landline so that the emergency
medical services have the correct location. Exhibitors are asked not to make
